Kelly Khumalo and Arthur Mafokate said to be “engaged” and expecting twins

SOUTH AFRICA – Kelly Khumalo has sparked rumours that she and fellow controversial performer Arthur Mafokate are engaged to be married and the couple are said to be expecting twins, after she posted a cosy picture of the two.

In a picture posted on Instagram, Khumalo suggested that the pair were in a relationship. The two are seen holding each other affectionately as they smile.

The caption accompanying the post raised eyebrows as it read “Isazozalwa letsotsi ezozhlukanisa” (the man who will come between us is yet to be born), leaving her followers to speculate on the nature of the pair’s relationship.

“Bra Arthur Mofokate and Kelly Khumalo are currently engaged and expecting twins,” posted notorious X account, Chris Excel on the platform.

The rumoured romance brings together two characters that have had their fair share of negative publicity over the years.

Khumalo has acquired a reputation as a “Black Widow” due to the belief that death always befalls her romantic interests.

Khumalo has also been dogged by rumours that she was somewhat linked to the death of slain South African football star Senzo Meyiwa.

Meyiwa was shot and killed at Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus, Johannesburg, in 2014.

Mafokate found himself under the microscope last year, after he took to the stage alongside singer Chomee at the SA Music Awards (Samas), delivering a nostalgic and energetic performance that left many in the audience feeling reminiscent.

While the performance may have been nostalgic for some, it was triggering for musician Cici, who performed before the Kwaito artist, posting broken hearts on social media.

Back in 2018, Mafokate had been accused of dragging Cici, whose real name is Busisiwe Twala, along the street in his car while she clung to the door handle, resulting in serious injuries.

The traumatic incident required Cici to undergo pelvic replacement surgery and left her with lasting emotional scars.
