In a post announcing the accident, Inkabi Records asked for fans to ask for divine intervention for the rapper after what looked like a particularly devastating crash.

“Nkabi Nation, it’s sad to announce that Big Zulu was involved in a car accident last night. Please keep him in your prayers,” they captioned a post which showed the wreck of Big Zulu’s car.

In an updated statement the record label confirmed that Zulu was making great progress and that there were no life-threatening concerns.

“Morning Inkabi community, firstly, we would like to send our deepest and sincerest gratitude to all of you for your support and prayers. Zulu is making great progress, fortunately, there are no life-threatening issues, he is clear from those.

“Thank you once again. We will be giving you more updates as it goes,” the statement reads.

The label also assured fans that they would keep them updated on his progress through their WhatsApp channel.

This accident comes two weeks after another artist from his record label Xolani Shabalala popularly known as Xolwa was involved in a car accident.

Xolwa was reportedly driving his brand-new BMW 4-series when the accident occurred. He was fortunate and left the scene unscathed, but the details surrounding his accident remain vague.
