HARARE – Zimbabwe Young Warriors rising stars El Shaddai Sadomba and Tadiwa Chakuchichi recently underwent trials with South African top flight club Cape Town City.
The pair that recently starred in the COSAFA U-17 Championship, traveled to Cape Town last week and have since returned home awaiting feedback.
A source close to the players confirmed their return and the wait for a decision from Cape Town City.
“They are now back home, and are waiting for feedback from the club. They traveled together last week,” the source told Nehanda Radio.
Chakuchichi, a skillful and pacy winger, scored and provided many assists.
El Shaddai, son of Dynamos legend Edward Sadomba, earned a place in the COSAFA U-17 Best XI following his outstanding performances.
He scored four goals at the tournament, including a hat-trick against Eswatini.
The prolific striker was also named in the U-15 CAF Schools Championship Best XI after winning the golden boot award at the competition held in Harare in 2023.
