ZIFA presidential candidate Twine Phiri has promised to improve the country’s football association within his first 100 days in office, if elected on January 25.
The former CAPS United president outlined his plans during a presentation of his manifesto to ZIFA councillors, media, and football administrators at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Bulawayo on Saturday.
“I just need 100 days to improve ZIFA,” said the veteran football administrator.
“My research has shown there are funds available at FIFA, and I intend to use those resources to revitalise the ZIFA Village and upgrade the 53 Livingstone offices.”
Phiri is among the six ZIFA presidential candidates vying for the much coveted top post.
The other five are namely; Nqobile Magwizi who is touted as the favourite, Phillimon Machana, Martin Kweza, Marshall Gore and Makwinji Soma Phiri.
