Bulawayo giants Highlanders FC are reportedly on the verge of losing two of their key players, vice-captain Peter Muduhwa and forward Lynoth Chikuhwa.
Muduhwa and Chikuhwa are reportedly on the verge of joining the financially powerful Scottland FC.
According to Bhora Afrika Magazine, Muduhwa and Chikuhwa met with Scottland officials in Harare recently during the recent international break.
They reportedly agreed to terms to join the ambitious Mabvuku based club backed by gold dealer and legislator Scott Sakupwanya.
“Bhora Afrika Magazine has it on good authority that Muduhwa, the main cog of Bosso’s defence and Chikuhwa who just had his best season in the premiership, met and agreed terms with Scottland officials in the capital on Wednesday 12 November.
“Muduhwa and Chikuhwa, who were spotted in Harare during the November international break, are the first of many signings targeted by the Scott Sakupwanya sponsored side according to sources,” the publication wrote.
Scottland are actively preparing for top-flight football, despite the ongoing dispute over the Northern Region Soccer League title.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Appeals Committee is set to deliver a verdict on the matter on the 26th of November.
The controversy comes after a match between Karoi United and Scottland that was abruptly ended in the 88th minute due to a referee injury.
The Northern Region Soccer League then awarded the match to Scottland, punishing Karoi United for allegedly failing to control its fans, a decision that has been appealed by Karoi.
