Former CAPS United and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi has won the top goal scorer’s award in the Chinese League One after finishing the campaign with 25 goals.
Among the 25 goals, Mushekwi scored one hat-trick and five braces.
Furthermore, he played 30 matches for champions Yunnan Yukun, inspiring the team to top flight promotion.
Yukun were crowned the Chinese League One champions last week with a game to spare with 66 points.
Mushekwi was instrumental in his team’s success, marking his return to the Chinese Super League.
The former Zimbabwe national team striker joined Yukun in March on a free transfer.
It was after he left Zhejiang Greentown, where he became the club’s all time top scorer.
Mushekwi’s move to Yukun marked his third stint in Chinese football, having previously played for Dalian from 2016 to 2019.
