Europe based Zimbabwe Warriors pair of forwards Tino Kadewere and Tawanda Chirewa have been ruled out of the squad set for Namibia in crucial AFCON qualifiers due to leg injuries.
Kadewere who plays for Nantes in the French Ligue 1 injured his calf while Wolverhampton forward Chirewa who is on loan at Derby County, suffered a thigh injury and will be out for weeks.
While the duo has been ruled out with the Zimbabwe Football Association the injuries, Warriors centre back Munashe Garananga is a doubt.
The Copenhagen dreadlocked defender is reported by ZIFA to be having a problem with his ankle.
On the one hand, Polokwane City striker Douglas Mapfumo who was not part of the squad has been called up.
Meanwhile, locally and South Africa based players are now in camp with European based as well as Teenage Hadebe who is plying his trade in the US expected today and tomorrow.
Zimbabwe will play Namibia at the Orlando Stadium in the crucial back to back qualifier.
Namibia will host for the leg with Zimbabwe who also don’t have a CAF certified stadium for international matches hosting the second leg.
