South Africa based Zimbabwean musician Zandimaz believes she is back on track to recapture glory in the music industry, after she spent the last two years recovering from a seizure suffered while on stage in the UK.

The Emathandweni hitmaker, real name Zandile Mazithulela, revealed that she had a brain tumour, which had resulted in health complications over the last few years.

In an interview with Daily Sun, Zandimaz said that the last two years of her life had been difficult.

“Life has been a roller coaster for me since I started this music. It’s a jungle for me, and being back is what I need as music keeps me,” she said.

Zandimaz revealed that at some point she had contemplated giving up on her music career.

“Giving up always pops up in my mind. This is not something I’d entertain as I have most of the things I have because of my music career.”

Zandimaz, who released a single in August, said she felt rejuvenated as she tried to make a full-blown return.

“It’s been a tough and hectic few months for me. This is a bit challenging as I was out of touch with the industry since I was sick,” said Zandimaz.

“Being back feels amazing for me. I’m not fully recovered, but I love being where I enjoy it.”
