HARARE – Dynamos’ interim coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe has expressed his disappointment over Zimbabwe’s lack of CAF certified stadiums for international matches.

The disappointing situation has forced both the Zimbabwe national team and local clubs to play their international matches in foreign land.

As it stands, Dynamos who are currently competing in the CAF Confederation Cup, will host their upcoming match against Orapa United in Francistown, Botswana, due to the lack of a suitable stadium at home.

Consequently, Mablanyo bemoans the situation saying “its not healthy”.

“Unfortunately, we have to play home away from home. It’s an unfortunate scenario that we find ourselves in as a Zimbabwean football team, including the national team, which is not healthy,” he said after his side beat Orapa United 1-0 this past Sunday.

The recent 1-0 victory over Orapa put Dynamos on the brink of qualifying for the group stages.

Valentine Kadonzvo’s late goal secured the win, giving DeMbare a crucial advantage heading into the return leg.

The second leg of this fixture is scheduled for this coming weekend in Francistown, Botswana.
