Zimbabwean youngster Joey Phuti goes under the knife after an injury set back

SHEFFIELD, UK – Zimbabwe Warriors youngster Joey Phuthi has undergone a successful surgery following an injury set back.

Phuthi’s injury is not yet known, but a UK publication the Star reports he is likely to face a long spell out of action.

The Sheffield Wednesday attacker last featured for his club when they played Bristol City last month (August).

Phuthi had a successful 2023/24 campaign, making his senior debut for Sheffield Wednesday.

The 18-year-old also made his Warriors debut, featuring in the COSAFA Cup competition hosted in South Africa.
