Acting on the information, the police conducted a search at the premises, which led to the recovery of sex toys and lubricant for men from Ssekamwa’s bag.

Ssekamwa was subsequently arrested and charged. He appeared in court and will return tomorrow (Tuesday) for a bail ruling.

In another case, a 30-year-old Harare man, Tinashe Nyambuya, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for robbery. The sentence was handed down by a Harare Magistrate after Nyambuya was convicted of robbing a motorist at gunpoint.

According to court records, the incident occurred on July 17, 2023, at around 7:30 pm, when the complainant picked up Nyambuya at the Hatcliffe turnoff. Nyambuya asked to be dropped off in Domboshava and offered the driver an extra US$5 to take him to his home.

Upon reaching Mungate Business Centre, Nyambuya directed the driver to take a path leading to Mungate Village.

At a Y-Junction, Nyambuya pulled out a pistol, threatened to kill the driver and ordered him to get out of the vehicle. He then drove off with the car, stealing US$16 and an Itel P56 mobile phone in the process.
