BULAWAYO – The Focus Sports Management (FSM) Director Gilbert Sengwe is a happy man.

This comes after his clients goalkeeper Raphael Pitisi and attacking midfielder Mckinnon Mushore finally received their first senior national team call up to the Zimbabwe Warriors.

The Highlanders FC duo is part of the 23-member squad that is representing Zimbabwe at the 2024 COSAFA Cup competition.

The regional competition is being in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) in South Africa from 26 June to 7 July.

Expressing his delight, the accredited FIFA agent said: “It’s always good to see some of the boys that you manage doing well. I think they deserved the maiden national team call up because they have been working extra hard.

“If you take a look at Raphael (Pitisi), he has been on top of his form since taking over as the Highlanders FC first choice goalkeeper.

“Then speaking of Mckinnon (Mushore), since last season under coach Brito he has been impressive. I pray that they continue to shine and avoid getting carried away by the Warriors call up.”

Pitisi has been outstanding for Bosso of late and Mushore is one of the key players in Bosso’s current squad.

Pitisi joined Highlanders in 2022 from Telone but has been seeing little game time with the experienced goalie Ariel Sibanda commanding the first jersey.

However, the former Young Warriors goalkeeper is now being preferred over Sibanda following his top notch form when the Bulawayo giants defeated giants CAPS United 2-0 in April.
