Zimbabwe Warriors prospect Leon Chiwome is set to extend his stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers by signing a long term deal that is set to expire in 2028.

According to the Athletic, the long term contract has an option to extend by a further year.

The 18-year old talented forward joined the Wolves Academy in 2022 from AFC Wimbledon.

Following his impressive performances for the Wolves U-21s, Chiwome was promoted to the first team, making his senior team debut last season.

He made three appearances in the Premier League including two starts.

For the U-21s, the teenager who was listed among the 20 promising players in the English Premier League (EPL) by The Guardian in September 2022, scored three goals in nine appearances.

He was recognised by the publication as “one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League”.

Born in England to a Zimbabwean father and a British mother, Chiwome is eligible to play for the Zimbabwe Warriors.
