Zimbabwean football legend Peter ‘Nsukuzonke’ Ndlovu has congratulated the Warriors following their victory 6-5 victory on penalties against Zambia at the Bingu Stadium in Malawi on Saturday.
The Warriors came from two goals down to level matters, forcing the match to a penalty shootout.
Debutant Macauley Bonne and Walter Musona scored for the Warriors who conceded in the first 23 minutes.
Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy forward Daniel Msendami became hero of the day after netting the winning penalty.
Posting on X after the victory, the former Warriors skipper congratulated the team for winning.

He also wished the boys luck for their upcoming match against Kenya in the tournament final.
“Congratulations to the Warriors. Good luck for the match on Tuesday,” wrote the former Coventry City striker.
Zimbabwe is slated to play Kenya on Tuesday in the final of the Four Nations tournament hosted in Malawi.
Meanwhile, Warriors coach Norman Mapeza was impressed with his team’s comeback victory and fighting spirit.
He told the media after the match: “They (Zambia) scored two early goals, and it was just lack of concentration on our part,” said the gaffer.
“But credit to the boys, they kept believing in themselves, we crawled back and scored two goals.
“In the second half, I think we were the better team. I also think we could have won the game in normal time because we got a lot of set piece opportunities.
“But at the end of the day, I will give credit to my boys, they worked so hard. Look, this is a team we assembled few days ago, so well-done to the boys.”
