Zimbabwe national team forward Tino Kadewere found the net to help FC Nantes record a 2-1 win over Toulouse in a French Ligue 1 match on Sunday.
The Olympique Lyon player, who is on a six-month loan spell at Nantes, scored in the 51st minute after receiving an assist from Mostafa Mohamed.
Kadewere doubled the lead for the visitors after Mohamed’s early opener in the second minute.
This marked his first Ligue 1 goal for the season, but not his first for Nantes.
The 27-year-old scored a brace on his Nantes debut last month in a cup tie, to help his loan club to progress to the next round of the competition.
Kadewere’s six months loan spell at Nantes runs until June 30th, 2024, with an option to buy.
The ex-Harare City star is contracted to Lyon until 2024 after joining the club in 2020 from Le Havre for €12 million.
Despite impressing in his debut season where he scored 10 goals, Kadewere’s future at the Les Gones is uncertain.
He is heavily linked with a move away from the French Ligue 1 giants.
