GREECE – Zimbabwe Warriors striker Tinotenda Kadewere has taken to Instagram to open up about his continued battle with injuries.
Kadewere has had a difficult run over the years, with his latest setback being an ACL injury that could sideline him for up to three months, potentially affecting his chances of playing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in December.
The striker recently underwent surgery and expressed gratitude to everyone who supported him during what he described as one of the toughest moments of his career.
He also thanked his Greek Super League side, Aris Thessaloniki FC, for their assistance throughout his recovery.
Posting on Instagram, the former Olympique Lyon forward wrote: “A few weeks back I had surgery on my knee and honestly it has been the toughest moments ever.
“I just want to thank everyone for the messages and all the love you showed. Special thanks to my wife, my boys and everyone at the club who gave me the strength I needed and were there for me all the time.
“I have been struggling a lot with these injuries and sometimes you ask yourself so many questions with no answers. But I believe everything happens for a reason and I will never give up.
“I will keep fighting and one day all this will just be history. I’m happy with the progress already and soon I will be back.”
Kadewere’s recurring injuries have significantly disrupted his career in recent seasons, but the striker remains determined to return stronger.
