Former Warriors forward Tafadzwa Rusike training with CAPS United

Former Warriors forward Tafadzwa Rusike is reportedly training with Premier Soccer League [PSL] giants CAPS United ahead of the 2023 season scheduled for mid March.

CAPS United manager Shakespeare Chinogwenya confirmed that Rusike is training with the Harare based club.

“Yes, Tafadzwa is training with the club. This is his second week training with us,” Chinogwenya told Soccer24.

Makanaka or Fire as Rusike is nicknamed once turned out for Makepekepe before he left the club for now defunct South African side Ajax Cape Town.

He could make a reunion with his former paymasters given he impresses the club’s gaffer Lloyd ‘Papa Lodza’ Chitembwe who was his coach during his days at CAPS.

The 33-year-old attacking midfielder is currently unattached following the expiry of his contract with Zambian side ZESCO United at the end of 2021/22 season.

The left footed pint sized experienced forward also played for Zambian outfit Zanaco between 2017 to 2019.

In 2014, he played for Makapekepe’s rivals Dynamos before be signed a two-year-deal with Angolan top flight side, Progresso do Associacao Sambizanga (PAS) in 2015.
