Lesbian rapper Da Brat is pregnant, expecting first child at age 48

Three years after disclosing that she is a lesbian, American rapper Da Brat (48) has announced that she is expecting her first child with wife, hair product mogul Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart.

According to an article published by People on Tuesday, Da Brat is quoted saying;

“I never thought I was going to have kids. I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life.

“I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

It took Da Brat 25 years to come out as gay and she used an interview with Variety in March 2020 to do so, confirming her relationship with Harris-Dupart (41).

In February 2022, Da Brat married Harris-Dupart, who has three children.

Speaking to People on Tuesday, Harris-Dupart said Da Brat was initially hesitant about having a child.

“We had a little tug-o-war in the beginning … But I felt like she should have the experience. She is so nurturing,” she said.

According to the outlet, Da Brat underwent surgery to remove fibroids and polyps ahead of the embryo transfer procedure.

This after she suffered a miscarriage in 2022.

Da Brat’s relationship with Harris-Dupart has been documented on the WE tv unscripted series Brat Loves Judy.
