Northern Region Division One League outfit Come Again appointed former Hwange and Harare City head coach Bigboy Mawiwi as their new gaffer for the forthcoming 2023 league season.

Come Again announced Mawiwi’s appointment over the weekend in a statement issued on Saturday, dated 27 January 2023 signed by the club’s vice chairperson Dick Dumbu.

“This media release seeks to notify the media and generality of the football fraternity of the appointment of Bigboy Mawiwi as the new Head Coach of Come Again Football Club for the Ruyamuro Northern Region Division One League 2023 campaign.

“Mawiwi comes to Come Again with vast experience having coached several clubs in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, Northern Region Division One League and abroad,” reads the club’s statement.

Dumbu urged players and the club’s faithful to support the veteran gaffer who was named the premier soccer league coach of the year back in 2013.

He won the prestigious individual gong after coming closer to clinching the league title with Harare City in their second year in the top flight league.

“I call on all our players and fans to rally behind (Bigboy) Mawiwi as we challenge for the 2023 championship,” Dumbu added.

Reacting to his appointment Mawiwi said: “I’m humbled to have been chosen as the coach for Come Again. Come Again is an ambitious side and this made me take this challenge.

“I know it’s not going to be a stroll in the park because people in Kadoma are very demanding, they want the best out of their beloved club. This also made me think I should take up this job. I’m happy to be on board, it’s a challenge that I take with both hands.”

Mawiwi replaces Wonder Ngoko who is now with the newly promoted Northern Region Division One side MWOS FC.
