Harare City coach Bigboy Mawiwi has conceded they failed in their bid to sign prime target Ronald “Rooney” Chitiyo who chose instead to join champions Dynamos and will make his debut in the Champions League on Sunday.

“I did not manage to get all players because initially we had targeted Ronald Chitiyo and I have to be honest that we wanted him because of his great ball movements and creativity.
“I thought his type of play would suit the type that we also play, but unfortunately we lost to Dynamos but we have to move on and we got Benson Maglas and Mqele Sibanda who is equally good and has that eye for goal as well.
“So I think we are now okay,” said Mawiwi.
Harare City have also unveiled Francisco Zekumbawire, Agrippa Murimba, Misheck Mburayi, Takudzwa Chimwemwe, Arnold Chivheya and Timire Mamvura as their new players for this season.
