In a quest to test their preparedness for their maiden season in the top flight league, Premier Soccer League (PSL) new comers Sheasham FC have ‘invited’ giants Dynamos to Ascot Stadium in Gweru for a pre-season friendly match.

The two sides confirmed the practice match slated for this Saturday afternoon on their social media pages.

Kickoff time, 3pm.

Gate charges for the friendly match set to pit the league’s debutants and one of the oldest clubs in the land in Dynamos have been pegged at US$3 for the Rest of the Ground and US$5 for the VIP section.

Nicknamed the Construction Boys, Sheasham are under the stewardship of John Nyikadzino who guided them into the premier league after winning the Eastern Region league title last year, finishing on top of TelOne FC.

The Harare giants are being guided by Herbert Maruwa who was appointed at the beginning of the year.

Formerly with Black Rhinos and Harare City, Maruwa succeeded Tonderai Ndiraya’s who is now at Simba Bhora

Ndiraya’s contract with the Glamour Boys expired on December 31 and the decision not renew it was ‘mutually’ agreed by the club’s executive.

Both coaches (Maruwa and Nyikadzino) who are set to clash over the weekend have been active in the transfer market bolstering their squads ahead of the forthcoming 2023 PSL campaign.

Nyikadzino signed 13 new players and retained 11 from his squad that did the job for their PSL promotion while his counterpart Maruwa has so far recruited almost 11 new players.
