Aston Villa ‘keen’ to offload Nakamba and replace him with former Arsenal star
English Premier League (EPL) outfit Aston Villa are reportedly ‘keen’ to offload the Zimbabwe Warriors central midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.
According to BirminghamLive, Villa are lining up a transfer deal to snap up former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi who also plays in the same midfield role as the Zimbabwean international.
“Unai Emery has already spoken to Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi about the prospect of joining Aston Villa, reports in France have claimed.
“Aston Villa are keen to offload their Zimbabwean midfielder Marvelous Nakamba who is yet to feature for the club this season,” the publication wrote.
Nakamba has fallen down the pecking order at Villa, he is yet to play a game for the Clarets and Blues this season.
The Hwange born footie joined Villa in 2019 from Belgian side Club Brugge on a 5-year-deal set to expire in June 2024.
