It’s my time: Queen Vee

Zimbabwean songbird Queen Vee has been nominated Best Africa Female Artist non-Nigerian category. The South African based singer said the Nigeria Entertainment Awards nomination is without a doubt a highlight of her career.

She is nominated alongside Victoria Kimani from Kenya, Vanessa MDee, Sheeban Karungi, Amanda Black, Becca, Butera Knowless and Efya.

“This truly means that the work I have been putting in as an artiste, the work my team has been putting in is finally paying off.

“I hope that my loyal fans from in and around the world will help me win the award because these are the people who make me push so hard, they support me through thick and thin.

“It’s been tough and amazing at the same time, I have been through the highs and lows, I have made so many friends and to be honest I am blessed to be where I am,” Vee told H-Metro.

The former beauty queen said she is aiming to go higher than she already has.

The nomination officially marks Queen Vee’s first nomination since the beginning of her career and she hopes it will lead to her first award.

Asked if she was confident that she would bring the award home she said she is going to give it her all.

“To be honest only God knows the outcome but I am going to give it my all to make sure it comes home, where it belongs.

“The work I have been putting in this far is clear indication that it is my time to take names.

“The vision for this year is to work harder, have more performances and awards,” she said.

Queen Vee concluded saying, “l would be lying if I say this isn’t the highlight of my career.” H Metro
