Former heavyweight boxing champion Dereck Chisora faces a driving ban after being caught without insurance — but blames a paperwork mix-up.

Chisora, 32, was stopped by police in his Bentley near Hyde Park without insurance or an MOT certificate, and was said to not have a valid driving licence.
Magistrates put six points on his licence, meaning a six-month ban, but that is now suspended while Chisora appeals.
His barrister told the High Court Chisora’s insurance broker failed to arrange cover, and the boxer has a Zimbabwe licence.

His appeal will now be heard at Croydon crown court on October 10.
