Upon disembarking, Mugabe almost fell but recovered and was masked from the public by his aides.

He displayed difficulties in walking as his gait was rigid and almost hesitant.

The agricultural show is one of Zimbabwe’s highlight exhibitions and Mugabe invited Sierra Leonean Vice-President Victor Bockarie Foh to officiate this year.

Mugabe almost fell off steps at the Harare International Airport early last year as he returned from an African Union summit.

He tumbled and almost fell headlong but “broke the fall” on his own in an incident that his critics said showed age-related frailty.

In October last year, he also tumbled upon a visit to India. Nehanda Radio
