For a while now I have been following closely and listening to various people within the Zimbabwean community voice their opinions on what is going on in the country with the pending re-introduction of the bond notes etc.

I have also followed closely Evan Mawarire on ‪#‎Thisflag‬ campaign and how the people of Zimbabwe, my people have embraced #thisflag.

There are various issues at play and all this has made my heart bleed with frustration and anger…but I sat and thought for a minute that I am an artist and let me do what I do best.

So I did a painting today and it came from all these things that are happening and being documented by various people.

One thing that I did notice is the lack of interest coming from the higher echelons of Zimbabwe. They are deathly quiet…its as if they don’t see and feel the pain being felt by the people..

This is my voice and the title of this voice is:

” The Leaders sat and watched THIS FLAG burn”
