Afrobeats superstars Wizkid and Davido are feuding once again, as both musicians took to social media to taunt one another this week.
The beef between the two seemed to be kicked off by a tweet by Wizkid which seemed to suggest Davido’s camp was bothered by his abilities as a musician.
“U and all ur crew plus ur pant washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking you actually got anything on me in music.” He then followed up with another post saying, “U know what… no point. Delusional ni**as.”
While Wizkid had not named any names, Davido responded by saying: “We not delusional. You’re a sick man.”
In response, Wizkid posted a widely circulated video of a man (alleged to be Davido) pleading on his knees for a favour, challenging his fans to replicate the same level of pleading if they wanted him to release the new song.
Although speculation has arisen that the subject of the video could be Davido, the 31-year-old star has yet to address the rumours.
After their back and forth on X, Davido took the beef to his Instagram stories, where he dared the self-proclaimed Starboy of Afrobeats to release new music on the same day as him.
“AINT SH*T DROPPING I HAVE HITS!! HE DONT!!” he wrote in all caps.
“TELL HIM LETS DROP FRIDAY TOGETHER!! IF DEM BORN HIM WELL HE SHOULD DROP IM READY!! I GOT 80 HITS IN THE CAN READY!! AYO PLEASE!!! ACTIVATE ME!! NO FT !! SOLO SHORT BI**H!!”
He added, “So funny how the whole industry scared of a 4ft ni**a me I short too oo but if u see am in person u go just giggle idiot.” Telly Africa
