HARARE – Patson Dzamara, the brother of abducted activist Itai Dzamara, has released a song titled “Ndimi Vanhu Wangu” which was produced at Jah Prayzah Studios in Harare.

Speaking to Nehanda Radio, Patson said “I have come a long way and I thought it prudent to thank all who have supported me thus far through my debut single.”
According to Patson, the song is “an appreciation to everyone who has contributed in making me who I am. I am in the studio and the album will be out in January but had to announce my arrival in the musical arena through that debut single, appreciating everyone who has supported me along the way.”
Patson wrote the song, which was produced by Mboks while Nichola Mutuwa provided the backing vocals.
“I have always had a deep inclination towards music. In fact I am more on the artistic side. Have written even movie scripts. My debut movie will be out in 2016.
“Musically, Leonard Zhakata, Alexio Kawara, Tongai Moyo and many others have been great sources of inspiration,” Patson told Nehanda Radio.
Last week Patson, a leadership and personal development expert, launched his 7th book “Forced 2 Fight”. Politicians from both the ruling Zanu PF and the opposition MDC-T attended the event, at the Jameson Hotel in Harare.
Those who attended included main opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai, MDC-T Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora, Kuwadzana MP Nelson Chamisa, Affirmative Action Group (AAG) president Chamu Chiwanza, Former Zanu PF provincial chairman and MP Temba Mliswa and Acie Lumumba (Zanu PF).
Meanwhile its now 7 months, 28 days since Itai Dzamara was abducted from his home in Glen View by suspected state security agents.
The journalist-turned activist was a thorn in the flesh of the government having led a series of demonstrations demanding President Robert Mugabe’s resignation.
