Nick Gordon has asked Bobby Brown and Pat Houston for permission to attend the funeral of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
In an email sent to both Brown and Houston on Thursday afternoon, Brown asks for their blessing to attend the memorial service.
“I’m asking you both for your blessing in regards to me attending Krissi’s funeral,” he wrote in the email that was obtained by PEOPLE. “I do not want to cause any trouble or commotion so I’m emailing you privately in advance.”
“I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” he continues. “I’m begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there. Please consider this?
“You are both in my daily prayers,” he concludes. “I know you are suffering. May God bless you both and heal your hearts. God bless, Nick Gordon.”
Gordon is facing a $40 million civil lawsuit. In the papers filed by Brown’s conservators, he is accused of domestic abuse and theft of money.
Gordon has hired high-profile attorney Jose Baez to help him face any legal issues that arise from Brown’s death.
