Mboweni who has 106 000 followers on social networking site Twitter was taking no prisoners and fired an opening salvo with the following tweet;

“Jonathan Moyo irritates me. writes fairy tales, shops in SA for basic things and talks such rubbish whilst his people suffer. Prof my foot!

“A couple of years ago, I was instructed to work on an economic revival program for Zim together with Gono, Trevor and Herbert Murerwa.

“It came to nothing because of people like the supposed Prof. Meanwhile back at the ranch, Zimbabweans are suffering. That’s the reality.

“And leaders in Botswana, South Africa and Zambia are blind to this. Educated Zimbabweans are waiters and waitresses down to Cape Town. Hey?!

“And he comes shopping in Sandton and gives us lectures on Twitter. Agg. Prof Ja right. My foot!! Jonathan Moyo, Professor, really? Of what?

“In SA we say, oh, so you are Prof: SHOW US THE PHD THESIS? Prof, tough out there. So, slow down…”

Below were Jonathan Moyo’s responses on twitter

I was in politburo Dec 2000 to Dec 2004 & now Since Dec 2010. Never had of failed consultancy in Zim!

Trying to get even. It’s news to me that sought a quick buck from the same Zimbabwe he despises!

Issues & principles matter more than image. We cannot continue to take insults from Uncle Toms in the name of image!

It is obvious that 25 year old North Korean ruler disproves rant by that young people =democracy & old people =dictatorship!

He lives the lie that majority of black South Africans are developed in their squatter because he’s an Uncle Tom!

Nonsense is nonsense. Tying dictatorship to old age as has done your is utter nonsense!

People like think they are great stuff just because AngloSaxon liberals front them & pamper them!

Tell that to the dogs. We know better. Like all Uncke Toms was bank Governor in title but not in deed!

He wishes I shopped in South Africa but please tell him I last did that in 2002. He’s just an uninformed Uncle Tom!

I last shopped in SA in 2002. But is shopping in SA an intellectual argument? Why do we have SA companies in Zim?
