By Farayi Machamire

HARARE – Dynamos are in danger of being dragged before the courts for allegedly failing to pay Zimphos training ground rentals as well as the ground’s care-taker, who has now taken the legal route.

Zimphos has been Dynamos’ training base for the last two seasons with the Zimbabwean champions renting the premises at a cost of $400 a month.

The Glamour Boys have an agreement with the Zimphos Company to use the stadium for the training sessions for a fee which includes paying the caretaker.

The Daily News understands that the Glamour Boys now owe the chemicals manufacturing company over $7000 in outstanding rentals.

To worsen matters, the caretaker is also accusing club of failing to pay him for his services for the last 18 months.

The caretaker, Weston Kachote, earns $400 a month.

These debts come on the back of a fruitful campaign for the Glamour Boys in which they have grossed over $200 000 in prize money, having won back-to-back Castle Premiership titles.

They also racked in the Bob89, Bob 90, the NetOne Challenge Cup and TM Pick n Pay Challenge Cup.

A source close to the going on says Dynamos are so disinterested in settling the debt that they intend to dump the training ground and move elsewhere.

“Even though they are moving I don’t think they will get another ground where they will pay as little $400 a month. That prize was actually free,” said the source.

It is further alleged that the club’s belief in juju is also behind the reason to move, with the new technical department is not willing to use the same training ground used by former coach Callisto Pasuwa. Daily News
