A St Mary’s woman has been sent to jail to an effective six months for biting off her fellow tenant’s finger in a dispute over buckets.

Fortunate Murongo, 21, reportedly sunk her razor sharp teeth into Mazvita Homani in a cat fight over the buckets.
Mutogo appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Masaiona Short answering to allegations of assault.
She came clean and admitted to the charge.
She was slapped with nine months’ imprisonment before three months were suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
The remaining six months’ will be effective.
It is said on July 27 around 10, Homani was in her house cleaning and preparing to go to church. Mutogo reportedly began shouting at her, accusing her of damaging her buckets.
She forcefully opened the complainant’s door to gain entry and grabbed the complainant’s right hand.
Mutogo sunk her teeth in Homani’s small finger. She tried to rescue herself but Mutogo kept holding tight until a chuck of the finger fell off.
She had to bite Mutogo’s breast for her to get out of the house, the court heard.
A report was made with the police leading to the arrest of Mutogo.
