Dumiso Dabengwa whose farm was this week invaded by war veterans and who is threatening war over his land, is getting his just deserts, according Nicholas Masiyiwa, an MDC activist.

Former MDC MP Job Sikhala said he had confirmed with the former Zipra intelligence supremo Dabengwa that Zanu (PF) youths from Chipangano had indeed been bussed from Harare to the farm where they were baying for his blood. He condemned the invasion in the strongest terms.
Dabengwa has vowed to defend his farm, setting the stage for the first skirmish in which a liberation war hero is threatened with having his farm forcibly taken away in what is increasingly becoming a lawless country.
Analysts said this lawlessness is being deliberately fomented by Zanu (PF), or Robert Mugabe specifically, because he can see that the economy is about to implode, so he will create a security situation in order to clamp down on the opposition.
Masiyiwa said Dabengwa was “foolish enough to gang up with Welshman Ncube to field Simba Makoni, who had no chance of winning in the 2008 election, against Morgan Tsvangirai, thus denying the popular leader an outright win against Mugabe which would have removed the dictator.”
“He even said it with his own mouth that “the idea was to prevent Tsvangirai from taking over leadership of the country”. What a heartless fellow who thought it was better having the dictator presiding over the country for yet another term than seeing democracy prevailing in the country.”
“By perpetuating Robert Mugabe’s tyrannical rule and suppression of people’s liberties, he had helped the same people to cling to power who were now haunting him out of his farm in Matabeleland,” said Masiyiwa. ChangeZimbabwe.com
