Baba Jukwa saga – Moyo has skeletons in his cabinet

Jonathan Moyo must have rushed to cover some tracks and create a decoy over the Baba Jukwa saga. From what l am reading, Moyo could have been involved in the projected or being linked to it.

Chances are very high, going by the way it is rolling out and the overtones in the manipulated media reports, that it became very urgent and desperate for Moyo to quickly create something that purpotedly proves there was no senior Zanu PF or politburo member in the Baba Jukwa camp.

Moyo huffs and puffs about that aspect right from the first story, which appeared on newzimbabwe.com two days ago.That presents the possibility of Moyo himself or a member of his camp in Zanu PF having been discovered to be part of the Baba Jukwa network.

Moyo’s link to the network must have easily led to what is being claimed as ‘hacking’ when, in most likelihood, it could have been simply retrieving of messages from files by the people who have run the facebook page all along. The dragging of two journalists, Mxolisi Ncube and Mkululi Chimoio clearly becomes what Moyo desired to make the decoy and major distraction.

I say so because, Moyo and his acolytes deliberately created the mountain of allegations against the two journalists and rushed to publish stories without at all doing a basic by seeking their response and comments. Doing so would have taken the sting off their decoy, which was meant to enter the scene powerfully.

Rather, Moyo and his people ran their story with extensive quotes from the minister himself, and where he revealed the specific targets of the whole mission – mainly clearing a member of the Zanu PF politburo from the scandal. They even insinuated, quite ridiculously, that Ncube and Chimio are already guilty of criminal offences and inevitably on the way to trouble.

That is precisely meant to put all the attention on the journalists, and away from what Moyo is out to cover up here. For, if it was true as being claimed by the Moyo network, they would have started by effecting arrests of the two journalists – who are just a stone’s throw, in Johannesburg – and proudly present them in court with the scoop of the century.

It is patently bare and stupid as being implied by Moyo and his agents, that such a purported huge national case would be handled in such a manner if it was true. Lastly, Moyo is also cunningly using his cover up mission to distract national attention from the deepening political and economic crisis.

Without doubt, the state controlled media shall continue making the Baba Jukwa hoax a national, earth shattering story. Am sure Moyo knows who is involved in the Baba Jukwa game, not the ruse of the two journalists he has created. And, it has become urgent that a cover up has to be made.
