Killer T set for UK Zim Cup Clash tonight
Zim Dancehall artist Killer T is set to be the main attraction at the annual Zim Cup Clash at the Dunstable Leisure Centre in Bedfordshire tonight. The Mbare based artist arrived at Gatwick Airport on Friday aboard an Emirates flight.
Speaking to Nehanda Radio promoter King Alfred said:
“We are promising people to have a good night and also have some fun since we have an artist from Zimbabwe to share with them how they do it in Zimbabwe.
“Killer T is an artist who is rising unexpectedly and now he is an ambassador for Chicken Inn. He is the man of the moment. Look out for the song Masuspect and Tirikumhanya, the guy is talented.”
Alfred said those who did not manage to buy tickets in advance can still come along and pay £10 at the gate. “We are losing an hour today (clocks are changing) so please come early. We are opening doors at 10:30pm,” he said.
In the Zim Cup Clash, DJ’s battle with each other to be crowned champion of the night. The competition is split into two categories, Afro Beats and Dancehall. The crowd response determines the winner for the night.
Other artists who will perform on the night include Kazz from Bkay n Kazz, Joe Shyna, Jusa, Boyz re Tonaz, Makupulazi and Faith Love. There is an after party in Luton, at the Dunstablians Rugby Club in Bedord Road in Luton.
