The defamatory flyers, bearing a stolen Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA) logo are being distributed along streets and public places such as beer halls and churches at night and claim Nyathi is using of using the parliamentary constituency office as a brothel.

In a telephone interview with The Zimbabwean, Nyathi confirmed the flyers were being circulated but attributed their origination to state security agents working closely with some party supporters.

“There are definite footprints of CIOs in all these flyers. The CIOs are clearly working with some members from my party who were obliviously not happy with my election as an MP. Anyway I will not be distracted by these flyers or lose focus in my effort to develop my constituency,” said Nyathi.

The MP said he has already reported the incident to the police. WOZA has also distanced itself from the flyers.

“Once again some coward from the Pelandaba/Mpopoma constituency has chosen to steal (the) WOZA logo. A staff member working at the parliamentary office handed over a flyer found at the office accusing the MP of using the office as brothel. WOZA disassociates (itself) from the flyers and has briefed legal representatives,” said WOZA leader, Jenni Williams in a statement.

Williams said it was the third time that the WOZA logo has been stolen in similar way. The Zimbabwean
