The second edition of the Willard Katsande soccer tournament will this year be staged on the 27th and 28th of this month at Sakubva stadium in Mutare.

The Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro will continue with his efforts to give opportunities to young footballers by staging the 2nd edition of the Willard Katsande soccer tournament in his home town of Mutare.
Katsande said while it is his own initiative to create a lasting legacy as an inspiration to the community that made him what he is today, he will also be assisted in funding the tournament by his South African club, Kaizer Chiefs.
“I want to continue giving back to kids in the community that made me. At the end of my career I want look back and say at least I helped discover one or two players. I am personally funding the event and Kaizer Chiefs will assist me with some kits for prizes and the finalists,” said Katsande.
16 junior teams are expected to take part in the competition that will target the U-18 age group. Deportivo La Sakubva won the inaugural edition, beating 12 other competitors last year. ZBC
