Models for the Miss World Heritage have disclosed their displeasure at how the pageant is being organised with reports that seven have returned to their respective countries.

The sad development came amid the last minute cancellation of the pageant on Saturday due to undisclosed challenges.
“The mood in the camp is not good and the ladies are not happy. It’s not good here in the camp, the mood is boring,” said one of the models on condition of anonymity.
There are reports that the girls are being starved as the organisers do not have adequate finances to fully cater for their welfare.
“It is not well, the girls are being starved and there is no transport to ferry the girls from one place to another,” said a source.
Twenty models were to battle it out if the event had gone according to script but some have withdrawn.

Speaking to the pageant’s head of public relations during a photo shoot of the models at their new bookings, Noria Shaldat said some of the girls have returned to their countries for other business.
“Some models have since gone back to their countries to meet some of the programs there, for instance Miss Heritage Lesotho has returned to her country after she was called by her ministry.
“While another contestant from Zambia also went for international duty but all will be back before Friday.”

All the international models were expected to return to their countries this week but due to the postponement, they have rescheduled.
Some of the countries that are now left are Zimbabwe, India, Democratic Republic of Congo, Italy, Sierra Leone, Estonia, Bahamas, Guinea and Namibia, Nigeria, Russia and Ecuador.
