Fears mount for Chiyangwa’s daughter after alleged suicide attempt

Social networking site Facebook was awash with concerns over the fate of Philip Chiyangwa’s daughter, Cherish, who is reportedly clinging to life after what is alleged to have been a failed suicide bid on Tuesday. 

An unsubstantiated report as to the reason for this drastic action on Cherish’s part was proffered by Internet super-grass, Baba Jukwa, who claimed that party animal, Cherish Chiyangwa, was incensed by her father’s failure to pay her school fees.

Mr Chiyangwa supposedly didn’t pay her fees because she was failing at school it was claimed. When contacted for a comment for several days, her father Phillip Chiyangwa neither answered his phone nor returned the telephone calls.

She is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at Harare’s West End hospital in the avenues area.

The suicide attempt comes hot on the heels as reported of a purported physical altercation with socialite and devout member of Prophet Uebert Angel’s church — Spirit Embassy, Zodwa Mutunzi.

It was widely reported in October that Mutunzi and Genius Kadungure were engaged to be married. Cherish and Kadungure have been romantically linked. Mr Kadungure (28) is reported to have been the recipient of a red Bentley from the generous Cherish Chiyangwa.

Apparently Kadungure is nicknamed “Grey” on account of his skin’s grey pallor.

Kuti zvityise!

Mr Kadungure is most famous for his lavish 2011 white party where he reportedly spent $17,000. It is also reported that it was at that party where the phrase “Kuti zvityise!” was first coined.

Cherish’s mother supposably refused to visit her critically ill daughter in Hospital due to shame over the suicide attempt. Cherish’s numerous siblings are said to be keeping vigil at her bedside at the West End hospital.

One commentator summarized the situation stating: “So this whole debacle seems to be over a coffin dodger and a dad that expects his child to have discipline in her school work while he has no discipline in keeping his pants up?” ZimEye
