Popular actor Sabhuku Vharazipi joined the police campaign awareness and hordes of eager people stopped to listen to the messages. The campaigns came in the form of songs and drama from Sabhuku Vharazipi and his crew.

The drama group also acted characters in novels like Karikoga Gumiremuseve and Tambaoga Mwanangu whose message are about murder.

Through the mini dramas people who were gathered were informed that murder cases were a serious crime and they could result in those convicted being hanged and affecting those lives of innocent souls through the avenging spirits of those murdered.

Speaking on behalf of the police, Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda said that statistics of murder cases from January to October have decreased as compared to the same period last year but he said that in Chipinge continued to have higher murder cases.

“Recent assessment showed that murder cases are on the decrease but in Chisumbanje area gruesome murders are being reported everyday. These people think that taking the law into their own hands is the best solution but as police that is our duty and the law is against murder no matter any challenge one may face,” said Asst Insp Chananda.

The police also educated people that life is very precious and that they should value it to avoid going to jail for life or for many of years. They told people that they should always solve disputes amicably or seek assistance from relatives, friends and the police.
