HARARE – Award winning Zimbabwean gospel rapper Mudiwa ‘Hood’ Mutandwa has a brand new single out entitled “My God is Good”. The catchy track also has a stunning new video that was released Wednesday evening around 8pm.
Speaking to Nehanda Radio, Mudiwa Hood as he is affectionately known said “the video starts with a poor me, then enter a new life with Phantoms. A man who is thanking God for the good life he has given me, that’s the story line.”
Mudiwa told us “it’s funny how the world views Christians as people who don’t have (money). In my song I said if you know who you are with Christ, you will shine. I included Strive Masiyiwa, one good example of God blessing a Christian. That’s why I rap “my life is in DRIVE, just like STRIVE.”
The young rapper who had 8 music award nominations last year before winning 4 of them is also an academic powerhouse. Mudiwa holds a BSc honours in Economics, Psychology and an MBA in Finance. The video tells this story too.
