Shiga Shiga joins Beverly’s Band

POPULAR chanter Gift ‘Shiga Shiga’ Katulika has joined raunchy dancer Beverley Sibanda, albeit on temporary basis. Shiga Shiga said he will now be performing with Bev to market her album Tapinda which is set to be launched end of this month.

H-Metro caught up with Shiga Shiga and he said he wanted to bring the best out of Beverley by performing with her.

“People only associate Bev with dancing but she is also a talented singer so I will be featuring at some of her shows where she is marketing her new album. I know with the support I am going to give her people will recognise how an excellent singer Bev is,” said Shiga Shiga.

Meanwhile, Bev’s manager Harpers Mapimhidze said they are grateful to be working along with Shiga Shiga.

“I can confirm with you that we are working with Shiga Shiga and very soon he will be part of our band permanently. We are rehearsing with him for our launch and we are happy to have such a sought after chanter as a member of our band,” he said.

Shiga Shiga rose to fame when he fronted New Stars Musica (Chikolokolo Chamota), before joining the late Tongai Moyo’s Utakataka Express and later joined the once star-studded Energy Mutodi’s Mutodi Express. H Metro
