Makuyana is alleged to have walked through a group of three MDC youths who were having a chat. Mhlanga then asked why with such a big road, he saw it appropriate to walk right through the trio who were having a private chat. Makuyana responded violently to the question and assaulted Mhlanga.

We understand Makuyana is being charged with culpable homicide and is now out on bail while currently staying with his in-laws. Makuyana a relative new comer in Ruwa meanwhile denies being a Zanu PF supporter and claims in his defence that it was the MDC-T youths who were assaulting him.

Mhlanga was buried in Chipinge on the 16th of August. A post mortem says he was struck with an object on the back of his head.
