Chido Valerie Gusha (21) better known to her friends as Weezyholic, was on her way to the Welcome Party when she lost control of her Renault Clio between Junctions 15 and 16 on the M40 towards Birmingham. The vehicle clipped the central reservation, careered off the road and hit a tree.

Joining dancehall chanters Freeman and  Jay C in visiting Chido’s family in Milton Keynes on Sunday afternoon to pay their respects was Osa and Banjo Vibes from the DangerZone music label, Torro (Torro Entertainment) and DJ’s King Alfred, Majezy B, Father Ansy among others in the music industry.

An ominous sign of what lay ahead for Chido was tragically captured in her last tweet under the name @Weezyholic. At 5:58pm (Zimbabwe time) she tweeted “Oh Lord musandisiye, ndirwirei- Oh Lord don’t leave me, fight for me” a reference to lyrics by Jay C in his song Prayer, off the Zvavharana album.

A minute of silence in honour of Chido was also observed at the concert held in Dunstable on Saturday evening. Freeman and Jay C each performed a song for her. Meanwhile the family are still to announce funeral arrangements.
