HARARE – Dancehall artist Emmanuel ‘Guspy Warrior’ Manyeruke has blasted the media for fabricating the much touted feud with his father saying his dad remains his musical idol.

The Mafia 19 boss made the remarks on Saturday night live on Star FM, clarifying that he is in good books with his father Baba Mechanic Manyeruke. Guspy Warriors was a studio guest during Garry B and Templeman’s All Star Party hosted by Dj Mox.
The singer dispelled media reports that he is at no talking point with his father and that he was chased away from home when he started singing dancehall music. It is alleged Manyeruke wanted Guspy to be a gospel musician.
“No there is nothing like that, you know those are just media reports. They continue to talk but it won’t affect me, I don’t know anything like that, I am in good books with my dad,” he said.
“I am working in collaboration with him on a track, which I am expecting to hit the air waves soon,” he added. Asked which artist in the world he wishes to collaborate with, Guspy said it was his father.
“My dad, I will be okay. He is my idol and I will be happy having a collabo with him,” he said. Guspy also promised his fans lots of productions this year saying it’s a year to transform his musical career and Zim-dancehall at large.
The soft spoken chanter’s live performances have become a favourite of many after he unveiled a live band early this year.
