Zimbabwean woman axed to death in SA

SOUTH AFRICA – A 32-year-old Zimbabwean woman was found hacked to death in her Mmakau home near Brits in North West, police said on Thursday.

Warrant Officer Morake Lehbye said the Zimbabwean woman was struck with an axe on the head and neck, allegedly by her Mozambican boyfriend, on Wednesday evening.

“The couple’s two daughters, aged seven and eight-months, were also allegedly assaulted with heavy objects on their heads,” said Lehbye.

The girls were hospitalised in a critical condition. Police were searching for the attacker. – Sapa
