Grade 2 pupil turns into snake?

HARARE- Business came to a standstill at Yamuranai Primary School in Harare’s Mufakose suburb when thousands of residents descended on the school after rumours had circulated that a Grade 2 pupil regularly changes into a snake.

Rumours of a pupil who is alleged to have changed into a snake or bird are said to have started making rounds in the high density suburb of Mufakose on Thursday last week.

It is alleged that the Grade 2 pupil was initiated into satanism by an unidentified Budiriro woman who would whisk him and others after school every day. It appears it was that rumour which mobilised people as thousands thronged the school in a bid to seek answers.

Others thought they could exorcise the school which they claim has been bound by a satanism spell. Overwhelmed by the ‘helter-skelter’ which had been caused by the parents, the headmistress locked herself up in her office while the deputy headmaster tried in vain to control the pupils who were all over the school.

The crowd had to be dispersed by the police anti-riot squad. Journalists who visited the child’s residence only found the landlord who preferred to speak off camera.

The landlord confirmed that there was a suspicion that the young boy had been initiated into satanism but he said he never saw him transform into a snake or bird as alleged. ZBC News
