Comrade Fatso and Chabvondoka unplugged

Must Try

Trending

Zimbabwe’s leading protest band, Comrade Fatso and Chabvondoka are set to give their fans a treat this Friday when they perform an unplugged acoustic set at Alliance Francaise from 7pm onwards.

The band, back from touring Europe and the Caribbean, will be stripping down their riotous set to give fans a mellow, intimate performance. Comrade Fatso will be performing some new yet-to-be-released tracks as well as many of their popular crowd favourites.

Comrade Fatso and Chabvondoka have had an insanely busy year having toured Germany, Austria and South Africa in May and June and then setting off for their tour in Serbia, Eastern Europe, with a performance at the Exit festival, one of Europe’s most prestigious festivals.

From the success of the Serbia show Comrade Fatso flew to the Caribbean island of Barbados where he headlined the Crop Over Festival, the island’s biggest festival. Crop Over is a festival that reverberates to the island sounds of calypso and soca.

The festival kicked off on Wednesday 21st July and Fatso performed at the Crop Over Read-In on Thursday 22nd July at the Barbados Museum alongside leading US and Barbadian acts. www.comradefatso.com
