Zimbabwean commits suicide in Manchester

A Zimbabwean man in his early 20’s is thought to have committed suicide last week Tuesday in Manchester (United Kingdom) after suspected family problems. Details remain sketchy but Nehanda Radio understands Preachwell Pondai more popularly known as Peidd or P Diddy among friends was found dead in his room and his child who was alive was with him in the room.

Sources who spoke to us say his wife was already in hospital suffering from depression even before Preachwell committed suicide. The nature of the problem the two were facing remains unknown for now. Zimbabweans who stay in Slough will know Peidd or P Diddy as he used to stay there and was a popular figure among friends. “The guy has no relatives here apart from his wife and kids,” our source said.

We understand Preachwell’s parents are deceased and that he has a sister in Zimbabwe. Friends who knew him are now trying to raise money to help repatriate his body to Zimbabwe. A facebook group (RIP Preachwell Peidd Pondai) in his honour has also been started.

The tribute on facebook says “You are loved and you will be missed dearly! You have gone too soon son, brother and dear friend ! we love you! we miss you and can’t wait to see you again ! It was God’s call, he will keep you in his good hands.

This group in now launched in memory of Preachwell “Peidd” Pondai. He always made people laugh, and not just laugh but cry from laughing so hard. He was much loved by everyone who met him. People say no one is perfect. But somehow Peidd achieved the impossible.
