There is no going back on ZINASU unity

Sluggards and ruffians who had their show in their rudimentary reign and split the union enthused by trivial avenues nuptial, nocturnal and snifter conduct were left bamboozled, thunderstruck and in a panic mode by the tardy reunification of the union which is in kilter with the aspirations of the ordinary students and propels Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) to lofty eminence.

The whirlwinds of unity have swept off the ground the now extraneous and clueless tired and retired backyard noise makers who hyped and perfected the art of mega phonic poly-tricks through picking words randomly from the dictionary and throwing them haphazardly on internet into the dust bins of oblivion.

Lonely cries from wagging dry tongues, flecked white lips and heavy throats and wolf-whistling from the political wilderness of the minority power shacks, hardliners and extremists who failed to board the ship before take-off echoed in vain as it dawned on them that they shall soon be gathering dust and rust in political shelves.

ZINASU is and shall always be beyond individuals and personalities especially those of questionable ethics. The union has neither permanent friends nor permanent enemies. What are they to split the Union of students?

Only the students have the mandate to chart the fate of the union. Those masquerading as students; strangers to lecture rooms and tutorials can not be part of the united ZINASU National Executive Council (NEC).

The nefarious arm of “Godfathers” was not muscular enough to barricade executive members of the two factions from meeting on their own and as an outcome a compromise has been sealed under their nose alas without their nod. So and so faction; so and so faction blah blah blah blah; not any more, the sun has set for such nonsense.

The tombstone on the mass grave of factionalism has been laid and on it is written: “Rest in peace take-charge; take part comedians”. Any one, anywhere, anyhow who thinks that the inevitable unity is reversible is at best day dreaming. Those with fat pockets who want to mimic the monkey jumbo jumping theatrics with their bags of money in dividing the united union are doomed and bound to fail. What are they to resist the unity of the Union of Students?

The wives and babies of those who have serviced the union industriously shall not starve to death as their glaring legacy guarantees them either safe landing or guarded exit strategy. Historicism of history is taking its course.
